Feed Mill Housekeeper

Mill Housekeeper Wanted

Job Title: Full-Time Housekeeping/Utility – Day Shift
Department: Mill
Reports To: Mill Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

Summary: Responsible for maintaining high level of cleanliness throughout mill(s)

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Loadouts in both mills will be cleaned daily
  2. Double S & Organic Warehouse – will be swept out daily. . Items used for this procedure may include the following: Proper PPE, Broom, Shovel, and Explosion Proof Vacuum
  3. Conventional Bin Pad & Organic Grinding Bin Pad will be swept at a minimum of once weekly
  4. Biosecurity Mats will be sprayed down and cleaned out weekly
  5. Basement Floor in both mills will be completely vacuumed and cleaned weekly and all excessive accumulations or large deposits of material cleaned up promptly
  6. Organic Mill Staircases will be cleaned and swept at a minimum of weekly. This area will be blown down biweekly
  7. Organic Receiving Area will be swept out at a minimum of two times weekly
  8. Bin Decks Roof’s will be cleaned completely on a monthly basis
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software and manufacturing software.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to work in high, precarious places and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

All specific components of this position are found in SOP-81418.  There is a daily/weekly/monthly signoff sheet with this SOP entitled HKP-81418 that must be filled out on the prescribed schedule as a companion to this job description.
